French with Ash · Book 1 · Reading · TEF-style
Four kinds of reading, the same four the TEF Compréhension écrite throws at you, built at A1. Read everyday documents and pick what they mean. Read a short text and answer questions. Fill the gaps in a message so it holds together. Choose the sentence that is actually correct. Questions are in French, the way the exam does it. A short English gloss sits under each one so you can work on your own.
Read the document, then answer. Tap an option or pick from the menu, then hit Check this section to score the block. Nothing here is timed. On the real TEF you get about a minute a question, so once these feel easy, put a clock on them.
A1 reading is about finding one fact fast, not translating every line. Keywords, times, prices, and the little linking words carry most of the answers. Build that habit now and each section gets easier as your French grows.
Next step: run these again with a timer, about a minute a question. Then move up to the Chapter 4–7 reading sets.
